Olympic Opportunity Fund

In 2007, the USOC created the Olympic Opportunity Fund to encourage growth of Olympic and Paralympic sports involvement through community-based athletic programs.  Proposals for the 2009 Olympic Opportunity Fund Grant Program are now being accepted. The Olympic Opportunity Fund offers three Paralympic-focused grant programs this year, totaling $500,000 in available financial support for Paralympic community organizations.

The grant funds are being offered in three categories:  Paralympic Community/Military, Paralympic Sport Club/Military and Paralympic Sport Club. Selected organizations will receive grant funds ranging from $5,000-$35,000.

All applications must be received by May 18, 2009.  RFPs can be downloaded by clicking the appropriate link on the right-hand side of this page.  The Paralympic Sport Club RFP is for current Paralympic Sport Clubs ONLY.  All other organizations must fill out the general RFP.
